Thank you for your interest in becoming a Paid On-Call Firefighter with the City of Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service (AFRS). The City of Abbotsford appreciates all applications; however, only short-listed candidates will be contacted via email to proceed to the next stage.

Applications for Paid On-Call Firefighters are now open. Posting will close on July 31, 2023.

The application process for the Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service has been broken down into the following stages:

Stage 6 - Recruit Training Starts September, 2023

AVAILABILITY

As a Paid On-Call Firefighter, you could be paged at any time, day or night, any day of the week. In this section, we are trying to determine what times you are available to respond to these calls, so please provide as much information as possible.
